Unit 29 - Production log 6
Me and my group have recently ordered a jumper we plan to use in our music video. Our partner Ariana will be picking it up this week or next week we has me and my group excited as we all sat down together and designed the jumper. It came together well and the cost was only £15. This week we have started to go out and take more photos of our location while working on our call sheet and getting people who will be starring in our videos to sign our release forms. Our music video is coming together for well.

Unit 29 - Focus group evaluation
Why do people do focus groups and why are they good?

Focus group evaluation
Today we done our focus group with four groups of students from our school to interview what they thought of the genre and our music video. When we first were gathering our peers we wanted to have a diversity of people and see what they would think. by giving us their opinions so we can improve our video. This is because even though our music video is rap genre we still want our video to apply to a variety of people from different backgrounds because of the way we decided to make our music relating it to various backgrounds and religions. During our interview we started off by letting our chosen people hear 30 seconds of the songs we decided and then told them what we planned to do with our music video. They had the questions in front of them and we asked each of them these questions wanting to know what they thought. Majority all of them liked the idea we had come up with and said they would recommended the song to their friends and not their family which we agreed with as the song mostly targets young people. This helped us to see what we needed to improve on and what people already liked. We had suggestions that we will take into consideration. At the end when everything was over I believe the focus group was a success and worked out very well as we got a lot of feedback to help us.
Here is a pie chart of what genre music majority of young people in our school listen too and which gender does the most. From looking at the pic chart below I believe that me and my group has made a good choice by rap for our music video, as it may not be the biggest one our peers listen too but it is the second biggest which will still get a lot of attention from others. Also the biggest gender is male but I believe we can still get both viewers to watch our music video as we want our video to target both male and female and not focus on one.

Unit 29 - Production log 5
Today me and my group have just finished our focus group. We had to play our music video to them and explain what we wanted to do for our video. To sum it up it went very well as the people we interviewed had a lot to say when it came to what they liked and what they disliked. Everyone had input to put in which my group appreciated. Everything is coming together well as we have come up with a lot of ideas to add for our video and we are all excited to start filming soon.
